Anesthesia

Each surgery is performed under anesthesia. The type of anesthesia offered is based on the type and location of the procedure and the experience of the anesthesiologist and the patient. In order for this important part of the intervention to run as smoothly as possible, a consultation with one or two of our anesthesiologists is organized in the weeks preceding the intervention. This interview is coordinated with the preoperative consultation with our specialist nurse. On this occasion, the anesthesiologist informs you of the different types of anesthesia possible and defines with you the anesthesia that suits you best and which also allows an optimal course of the intervention. The anesthesiologist also informs you about the methods available to treat post-operative pain, in particular the possibility of placing a peripheral block (loco-regional anesthesia).
