Back to Work
The date of return to work depends on the type of intervention carried out and the professional activity carried out. As a general rule, a 100% work break is recommended for at least a period of 15 days after the intervention. The foot needs rest in the immediate post-operative phase, in order to ensure the best possible evolution and rapid recovery. In the event of activity in a seated position, without movement and without carrying a load, a recovery to 50% can be envisioned from the 3rd week after the operation. In case of more physical activity, a 100% work break is often necessary for a period of 6 to 8 weeks, followed by a 50% period of 4 to 6 weeks. These are general recommendations and each situation is discussed individually with your surgeon in order to find the best possible solution so as not to disturb the healing process of your foot.
